Hoy’s Koppie is a small mountainous outcrop in the centre of Hermanus, the coastal town where I live and the view from the top, across the village and Walkers Bay, is quite beautiful. I chose to paint the peak and not the view in an abstract style, done en-plein-air, using a mixed media of acrylic paint, water soluble pencil and soft pastel.

It is done on paper and framed behind a white mount and glass in a simple white wood frame.

Size 22.5 x 29.5cm ( including frame 37 x 45cm)
